Avidemux version 2.5.4 (r7200) ImgBurn version 2.5.5.0 DVDStyler version 1.8.3.0 Avidemux is a very powerful tool for editing video files. It supports almost every type of video file as input. It can do lots of things: cut, remux, convert, etc. Avidemux 64 Bit free download - WinRAR (64-bit), VLC Media Player (64-bit), NVIDIA RIVA TNT2 Model 64/Model 64 Pro (Microsoft Corporation), and many more programs. I honestly can't recommend avidemux (2.5.4 in Ubuntu 14.04) as a frontend for x264. It's pretty essential to have something with a slider for slow to fast presets. I made a test encode, and the important settings default to on, which is good. It doesn't matter too much what you use for youtube, as long as you use enough bitrate for it to look good. AviDemux 2.5.4 on 24 March 2011, reviewed by: Praveen Kumar # 9. Excellent program. Built in codecs, not found any problem while converting to different formats.

A video editor and encoder which can edit, encode, requantize MPEG and AVI, including DivX, allowing you to encode to various file formats

What's new in Avidemux 2.7.8:

  • New Features:
  • Many new video filters added by courtesy of szlldm
  • A dedicated MOV muxer is now available, replacing silent fallback to MOV muxing mode within the MP4 muxer.
  • A subset of color info relevant for HDR support is retained in copy mode when both input and output video are stored in Matroska / WebM containers. Settings to add or override color info have been added to MKV and WebM muxers.

Avidemux is a Windows-based application designed to help you edit video files as easy as possible. So, if you want to make some small adjustments on a home-made video, then you don't need to get into large and complex software. You can just use this small tool instead.

User-friendly interface

After a quick installation process, you'll probably notice how straightforward the user interface is. The GUI is populated with a few menus and a few controls for playback capabilities.

Usage is not rocket science: once you have opened a video file to work with, you can crop it by indicating a selection and by pressing Delete on your keyboard (you can even crop black bars), or re-encode it by selecting the output file format from a drop-down list and saving it.

Features support for various formats

Fortunately, Avidemux supports a wide array of video formats, including AVI, FLV and MPEG, but also for the audio format, such as MP3, WAV and OGG.

In addition, you can take advantage of decoder options, processing tools, filters, configuring the frame rate, a glyphs editor, and many others.

Of course, just like any other application, Avidemux comes with a few downsides of its own. For instance, the program doesn't have a built-in help file (which can be very troubling for first-time users), and at some point it jams and crashes (in our case, every time we tried to select the Plugin Manager).

Reliable application that lets you perform small adjustments

The fact of the matter is that Avidemux has some great abilities for its size, and most users are going to definitely fall in love with it.
